HOWL Interiors: Fearless Home Fashion

Earlier this year the HOWL family met to look at a rental space located in the woodworking epicenter of Austin. Instantly, we fell in love. The building is full of creative artisans and the neighborhood feels like home. We’ve been working for a couple weeks demolishing, cleaning and reworking the space to make it our own. As it takes shape we find ourselves more and more excited about having our office, workshop and gallery here.

The space has a unique feel to it; a mixture of truly original HOWL designs are augmented with vintage and found materials, giving our new home a feel those familiar with us will recognize instantly. Browsing around, one finds the usual suspects in Barry’s creative arsenal present- sea-shells, rusted iron latches, antique mirrors, ancient literature and well-worn phonographs, to name a few. Our new place has also given us great inspiration for new HOWL Originals and the discovery of many Vintage Originals pieces to be unveiled this fall.

You’ll be able to see some new items when our online store launches in late August. In September we will open our new doors for our first Pop-Up Shop at the new location and take it on the road to Roundtop for the Marburger Farm Antique Show (9/15-10/2). Later this fall we look forward to participating in our first E.A.S.T.. The coming months promise strong doses of excitement, creativity and other strange elixirs.

We just updated our installation at Mercury Design Studio in Austin, TX with new products, including Mosaic Mirrors, a Grotto Revival Etagere, an original painting by Patrick Nagel, and an extraordinarily unique hand carved Neptune Cocktail Table. The past few weeks have been crazy. We've been finishing up our jobs in Marfa and Drippings Springs. We've finally completed the initial launch of our website and now we're off to Marburger Farms for the week. If you're in the area, stop by our booth (FC6) to check out our latest and greatest.
